My mattress had a firmer section down the middle, is this normal?

All mattresses with 2 users will settle on either sleep side and not in the centre, as the weight of sleepers is concentrated to the sides. This is known as the North/South divide and is not a fault and is a natural occurrence. The larger the mattress the more prominent this can appear.
